The Dayley's had their first family reunion... ever!
We went to Northern Arizona to Hannigans Meadow.
Each family had their own cabin. Grant had to work because we had been gone the week before so he drove up on Friday afternoon. The girls and I drove up with my parents in their truck.
The week was filled with reading, hiking, playing cards, visiting the wolf dogs in the cage behind to lobby. But mostly we played card games. At night we played Bean Boozle. It was a hilarious game where you spin the spinner. If you land on the white jelly bean you pick a white bean. It could be buttered popcorn or stinky cheese. You don't know until you eat the jelly bean.
Mostly everyone ate the gross bean: stinky cheese, BARF, ear wax, stinky socks, grass clippings, sour milk, boogers! I think Grandma had 8 turns and never once got a good flavor.
The good flavors were: buttered popcorn, peach, lime, coconut.
There is the left right stick game again.
Hannah won her big cousins!
We went on walks and picked wild flowers. The girls decorated there hair.
Finally Dad came up. While in the mountains we did not have cell phone service. You could text if you were next to the lobby. We were happy to see him!
I know I am an outdoor whimp! The whole week I didn't want to go to bed at night. The cabin was built on top of the mouses house. So at night they liked to come inside and visit the people in the cabin. I was scared to death! I didn't sleep and had my phone flashlight on all night looking for them. while sitting on my bed having a panic attack. They were coming in and out of the bedroom under the door. The second night Annie and I shoved a couple of towels under the door to try and keep them out of our room! They could play in the cabin all they wanted just stay out of our room! The next morning I went to the front office to talk to the manager to see what could be done. He was very nice and told me we are in the mountains. We are where the field mice live. I have some advice, "Why don't you give them a name and make them your friend." I smiled and laughed but didn't feel very comforted with that idea. Friday night Grant came up he was exhausted and went to be before us. I would not let the girls sleep in the front room because I wanted them close to me. So Annie took the hide away bed, Grant, Hannah and I share the queen bed. I was stuck in the middle and had the worse night sleep without a pillow. Because I let Grant sleep on mine. I kept sitting up looking for the mice. Finally Grant had enough. He said, "What are you looking for? would you go to sleep! The mice are not going to get you!" Morning could not come fast enough!!!!

Saturday morning we packed our bags and drove to the Sunrise ski resort in Northern Utah.
They have turned it into some summer fun activities. This was the 3 story jump you jump off into the blow up pillow below. Hannah was the first one to jump off! Annie jumped off the 2nd story and landed feet first. She did the 2nd story jump again because you have to land on your bottom/backside. After passing the second level she climbed to the 3rd floor. It was so high especially from up there looking down. Annie jumped... but half way down she got scared and landed on her feet. Which knocked the wind out of her and bruised her neck, ribs and back. She was hurt but didn't want attention drawn to herself. It made me feel badly.
Lee's family, Jen's family and my family all went. We rode to ski lift to the top of the mountain and ate lunch. They had indian fry bread with honey and powder sugar and a navajo taco. They were tastee! Mom and Dad stayed at the cabin to read and write poetry. Which I thought was strange they didn't want to come be with their kids. We had a great day playing on the mountain. I mostly took videos not pictures!
