While we were in Utah for spring break we went to Highland to visit our cousins. It was cold outside so we went to the church and set up a capture the flag game in the gym. Everyone dressed up in a disguise to add to the fun.

Spring Break in southern Utah

We pulled our CanAm that we got for Christmas to Southern Utah and had a fabulous time climbing the Red Rock of Sand Hollow.  Talk about beautiful country. The weather was perfect!

We found the "Honeymoon Trail". The trail the Saints took to the St. George Temple to be sealed for Time and All Eternity. It was long and a bit scary in parts. The sacrifice people have made to go to the Temple is humbling. I could not image driving it in a wagon and a horse. But it was sure beautiful.

Sand Hollow is fun because there is destinations to look for and travel to. We found dinosaur tracks, the petrified rocks,

I feel so blessed to be married to this guy. He makes life so much exciting. We are always doing adventurous vacations. We do not go on simple, relaxing vacations. Never have we sat on the beach for a week, everything we do is centered around action!! Out life is FULL because of HIM>

For Hannahs 13th Birthday we were in Utah and looking for all the free food that the town of Gilbert gives away for someone birthday. We quickly realized Utah businesses do not give free food away on your birthday. She did get a sugar cookie, and jamba juice, a fruit pizza from Kneaders,

BYU book store with Cosmo the cougar.

We had a snowball fight and built a snowman and snow fort with cousins.

While my family went skiing at Snowbird ski resort, I spent the day with my friend Anne Hillstead. She is my dearest, closest, kindred spirit friend. I love her with my whole heart. She has been through the worst nightmare. Their family was driving from Utah to Arizona to come to James and Meg's wedding. On the drive down their 2 year old daughter, Jane was having difficulty breathing. They stopped in Page AZ and took her to the emergency room. She spent the night in the hospital under a doctors care. They gave her a steroid shot for the croup. After 6 hours of observation they were released and they continued the drive to Gilbert. Anne held Jane in her arms the whole drive, while Janes continued to get worse. After 5 more hours of driving they came into town, but Jane had got worse. They dropped the kids off to her sisters house and were headed to get medicine at Walgreens for Jane. The gas station on Power and Guadalupe is where she stopped breathing. Anne laid her on the ground and gave her CPR. The paramedics came and put her in the ambulance and drove her to the hospital. She died in the ambulance on the way to the hospital. They did not tell Annie she had passed away. They ran her body inside and continued to work on her through the night. Grant and I went to the hospital to be with them. They had so many friends from their last ward they came and gave her a blessing. It was such a tender, sad, and spiritual night. My heart broke for my dear friend, one Thanksgiving Day 2019 at 12noon they decided to pull the life support. It was the hardest Thanksgiving, I cried and cried all day. But the next day my son was getting married. I allowed myself to cry on Thursday and I could cry on Saturday. But on Friday was my day to have joy and enjoy the wedding day.
