Just an update on Hermana Coon in Uruguay!

This is Grant's favorite picture of Katie! He loves her giggle and hand over her mouth.
Our "Super sisters"

Yesterday, we had 5 baptisms! It was excellent. Our sweet investigators made the decision to be baptized! It is seriously the most rewarding experience to see these people that you have spent hours with, teaching them, developing relationships and friendships with, watching their testimony and knowledge grow little by little, and then seeing them enter into the waters of baptism! WOW! Takes my breath away! As they each came out of the water, I held their towels for them and gave them each a big, huge, wet hug. Each of them had the biggest smile on their face and they said, "Yo so que soy una hija de Dios! Wow the spirit was so strong. So grateful i get to have experiences like this that help increase my own testimony. I know this gospel is true with all my heart. I would give my life for my Savior!

"I feel like I say this every week, but every week the days just get better and better. Seriously, there are miracles every day. Hermana Ots is the best companion ever and together we are studying the life of Christ. I love learning about my Savior and his acts of charity. We are gaining such strong testimonies of small acts of charity that really change people's lives. We have this family, Familia Gonzalez, that are so wonderful. We have taught them, baptized the father, Raul, and his son, Sebastian. But the mother, Janet, didn't want anything to do with the church. We have prayed and prayed for her, invited her to family nights and members homes, taught her, born testimonies, dyed her hair, given her piano lessons, literally everything you could possible imagine. Miracles happen everyday and I know without a doubt the Lord listens to our humble pleading prayers for help. She came to church yesterday and told us that she is ready to be baptized!! We are seeing miracles in this family. They are poor and don't have much, but they have the Gospel in their lives, and that is all that matters.

Girls Camp

Annie was so excited! She went to girls camp this morning at 5am. Annie is a first year at camp Lomia, in Payson, AZ.
I snapped a couple of cute pictures this morning at the bus!
Jenna is her friend. Jenna is tall and Annie is small. When I was a 5th & 6th grade my best friend was Leisann. She was tall and I was small.  I am going to find a picture and put it on here.

Good bye my Annie for 3 days. Have a fabulous time!

Coon family Reunion Summer 2014

Wednesday, July 2
We had a BBQ swim party at Grant's cousins house in Farmington Utah. They were so kind to invite the whole family over to play. It was such a fun time. Brigham, Sarah, Alice, James and Ryan.
Silly Riley! He loves his hot dog costume! That is all he wanted for Christmas!
The lush gardens and beautiful flowers! I couldn't resist taking her picture.
Hannah finally lost that tooth at the party.
The back yard was a secret garden!  We were dying at the beauty of this earth. In AZ you just don't have the lush beautiful lawns like Utah. The weather was so gorgeous and cool.

 Hannah and Gloria
 My beautiful Hannah
Annie is just growing up and so pretty. She will be 12 years old in 8 weeks.
The highlight of our evening,  Emilie Cox! We met the parents of Katie's favorite missionary companion. Hermana Cox and Hermana Coon love each other so much. They are like the same person. Our girls will be so happy to know that we met each other and hit it off. They are such a great family. They not only have a daughter serving a mission in Uruguay they have a son serving in Paraguay. Their son was in the Argentina CCM with our Katie. They knew each other! It was such a great evening.

They have 5 sons and 1 daughter! Our children had fun together running in the beautiful green grass and lovely breezes.

Thursday, July 3
We took Annie and Hannah along with cousins Jolynn and Gloria to Snowbird ski resort to play on the mountain with all the fun activities.

Heavenly Father has given us such a beautiful world.  I love being in the mountains! They weather was perfect! The sky was full of clouds and breezes. After being in  AZ summer weather it was a nice break to not be hot  but the breathe fresh mountain air.
Sno cone shacks are all over in Utah. We had a shaved ice on our way back to the valley.

After the BBQ we had a fireworks show out in the street. They were BIG firecrackers. It was amazing how big they were.

Grant picked Lylah up and held her during the fireworks. She wasn't sure about them.
Annie is a baby magnet. Little Ev loved Annie. He is such a cutie!
Of course, Grant and I watching the fireworks.
