Fall Break: Knott's Berry Farm, Carlsbad beach

Driving to California just the 4 of us!
Dad - 49
Mom -44
Annie - 14
Hannah - 9
We missed Katie and Grant! Because of college they did not have a break! Of course, James is still on his mission!

Waiting for the fun to begin at Knott's Berry Farm

I don't like rollercoaster anymore. They make me sick and scared! So I am moral support and encourage everyone else to ride all the fast scary rides!

I went on 4 rides the whole day.
1. was a horse rollercoaster. Not to bad!
2. was the swinging boat ride. It was terrible! I didn't like it at all. Everyone got a big laugh from me!
3. The water ride in the big inner tube
4. Log ride... not bad

Talk about a beautiful beach! Carlsbad beach is kinda private, only for families staying at the hotels and beach houses. The tide was great and the sand was very soft and moist. Great for digging and building sand castles.

One thing about having girls is they like the camera. Photoshoots are fun~ not like trying to get the boys just to look at the camera or smile! Plus, girls don't eat very much! You don't need to stop for a food break every hour. Seriously! A lot of time and money is spent on food when teenage  boys are with you. But boys are a lot of fun and full of adventure!

This was a wonderful time spent in California for fall break. Knott's was almost empty - we walked to the front of the line on every ride. Waiting maybe 2-3 minutes to get on. The Carlsbad Inn was perfect! Right on the beach and you could check anything out: boogie boards, beach chairs, umbrella, towels, beach toys! The weather was gorgeous! So nice to not be hot but to feel cool air again. We will for sure come back next year!

The girls look forward to this activity all year.
They go to the church for the activity and dance and take pictures
then Dad takes them for a treat and a fun ride with music loud in his truck!

Grandpa Coon... the best!

Grandpa Coon loves his grandkids.
Most Saturdays he loads them up and takes them to lunch somewhere.
Hannah was so happy she was able to go to In- and -Out for the fun day with Grandpa!
These kids when they are grown and Grandpa is not here any more will cherish this picture!
