Daddy Daughter cruise date

Our ward is awesome. They put on a daddy daughter cruise line date. It was incredible. The decoration was so detailed! They had such a fun time with their dad. He is the best dad for these girls!

Friday night football has begun

James has been #31 for years. It's a Coon thing. James uncles that played at Westwood back in the day were #31. His older cousins that played for Gilbert High were also #31.

I only took a few pictures, I mostly video taped. I am trying to get lots of video of James his Senior yr. When Katie gets home we are going to make him a video of all his highlights.

Friday night football games are FUN!
Now we are just praying for no injuries!

James did it! His Eagle project is complete!

"Jared Boxes"
activity box for sick children staying in the hospital
Help from the "activity day" girls! They assembled the boxes and put all the labels on each box.
They assembled 100 boxes. Good job James and girls!

The young men in our ward delivered the empty boxes to the families. The people then filled the boxes with toys, activities, silly putty, cars, crayons, games. These boxes were filled with all kinds of fun stuff.
Our fabulous neighbors and a few of the boxes!
The day of delivery to the Hospital. Our flex was full of "Jared Boxes".
The Director at the hospital was so happy to have these "Jared boxes". He kept telling James what a wonderful thing he has done. So many families are going to be blessed because of the project. So many children are going to be happy about staying in the hospital.
 Proud of my handsome son!
The hand off! We are so happy to deliver these boxes. So happy the hospital has them and the children can use them to make there day brighter.

All the friends going on missions

Ian Keller just left on his mission to Brazil.  James has great friends. Proud of all of them going on missions!

The girls start school today, Wednesday

My little girls aren't so little anymore!

Annie is in 7th grade!
Full on Junior High schedule
7 teacher and subjects

 Hannah is in 2nd grade!
We met her teacher last night,
she walked into her classroom and saw her teacher.
A big smile crossed her face.
She said,
"She's pretty" YEAH!

 Hannah is 7 years old
Annie is one month from 12.

I went home after dropping them off and looked at my unorganized life and went to work shredding papers, paying bills, running errands. Not much of a play day, but I got all the things marked off I ignored all summer.

James is a senior!

What? Where has the time gone?
James started his Senior year on August 4, 2014! I am in shock! I was just a senior. (well, that was a long time ago). Monday morning I woke up early to help him get off to school for A Hour. Off he went to his first day of school. At 11:30 I heard the garage door open and in walks James from school. What? Really? He is home so early. Well, this is his schedule. He has a 3 hour break before he goes back at 2:30 for football. This might mess up my freedom!
Handsome James!

Hermana Coon turns 21

August 5th, 2014 was Katie's 21st Birthday! It is hard to believe that my sweet little Katie is a grown woman. No longer a young woman or girl. When I was 21 years old I became a mother to the most darling little baby girl!  I was so in love with my baby! Katie has been a gift to our family. She has loved her little siblings and cared for them, nurtured them and been a second mother to them. I love her soft heart and skin,  she has a talent loving special needs children, she plays the piano beautifully, her smile will melt you. Katie is my best exercise partner, always motivating me to go running with her. She is serving her mission in Uruguay and will be home in 5 months!! It will be here before I know it. On her birthday, yesterday I went to the mailbox. There was a massive amount of mail. As I was organizing the huge pile of mail I saw a yellow envelope. I turned it over and it was a letter from Katie addressed to me. Inside I found the most beautiful letter written to me. It was so special. I made me cry and laugh. I feel so blessed! What a "Birth" day present for me.  What a treat.  All I know is Heavenly Father has blessed me!
I wanted to share a few pictures:
This little baby had CHEEKS!  Such round, soft, kissable cheeks.
We were living in Utah at this time. We went to Wheeler farm to see all the farm animals. The Pleasant Grove newspaper was having a summer contest. Katie won the "Fun in the Sun" contest and this picture was put in the newspaper. I love this picture.
The photographers loved Katie! They never had to pose her. She already knew how! She has always been photogenic!
